BottegaTokyo loves how T-site’s Anjin library lounge and cafe uses books as part of their design and decor. The entire bar sits on piles of books, as do the side tables next to the leather couches. Using the spines of books is a great way to add colour and texture to any space. As a matter of fact, I’m currently using a stack of my favourite books as a bedside table!

This weekend I went to meet friends for brunch at a restaurant called IVY. It was receiving some buzz so we thought we’d deviate from our regular Sunday spots and give it a try. When we arrived, we found the restaurant set in Daikanyama’s new retail village called T-site (note the Ts infused into the exterior of the Tsutaya) designed by Klein Dytham Architecture. This complex has a bike and camera shop, Harley Davidson, a green dog boutique/groomer and small dog park, as well as a kid toy store and a very sophisticated library lounge above the Tsutaya called Anjin.
